Right, so it's not that I read this travel guide for the travelling advice, which may or may not be any good. I read it because randomdreams found it somewhere, discovered it to contain a plethora of amusing ranty asides (there may be more asides than there is actual travel stuff) and knew it was about where I'm from. So he brought it to me. And it was both amusing and homesick-making, and that was good. Recommended if you like ranty but not terribly cranky old men, and/or are homesick for the Maritime Provinces.
