I was worried that this Nursery Crime book would be too much like Robert Rankin's excellent Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse, but it wasn't. That one was more noir and this one is more of a police procedural. I really enjoyed this book, and was delighted to find out there's another one in the series coming out next July. Yay!

I'm reading HCBotA right now... Not so sure I'm liking the noir style, though.

I seem to remember that as the book goes along it sort of ... unravels? and gets really zany. But then I liked the noir to begin with, so.
