If you haven't read anything by him, go find something. And then read it.
He reduces me to incoherence.
All I can do at the moment is babble, "Jonathan Carroll Jonathan Carroll Jonathan Carroll" over and over again and tell people to go read him.
I'd already read one of his books, but I sort of conveniently forgot how good it was to make the experience of reading-each-one-of-his-books-for-the-first-time last longer.
Today I read my second one and started my third.
No doubt I'll finish the 3rd one by Saturday...
then I'll probably conveniently forget again...
Except now I've written it down!

he got recommended while on a book quest for the heyoka, so i found Kissing the Beehive at the library. much enjoyed. will be going after the rest soon.

any other book recommendations?

someone in the J carroll/j crowley/c de lint vein i've just discovered is Matt Ruff. Only read his first book, Fool On the Hill, and a very enjoyable read. it's got an automaton dragon.

finding books by unheard authors is damn difficult. thank god carroll's got a few books written.
