The Writer's Desk is a collection of photographs of writers and their working environments. I really liked it, found the accompanying text (mostly quotes) very a propos, and was fascinated by the contrasts in this set of pictures which span at least 25 years. Odd to see pictures of some of writing's 'grand old masters' from when they were very much not the elders I'm used to seeing today, juxtaposed hard up against some of my contemporaries.

Seven Seasons of Buffy: Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Discuss Their Favorite Television Show (edited by Glennn Yeffeth) was completely self-indulgent. Er, on my part I mean. Didn't actually put the book down until I was finished reading it. Short, clever, frequently funny essays about a show I love. Candy for my brain.
