I get to move in tomorrow! We won't close til the 31st, but things are all straightened out and I get to move tomorrow and did I mention, I am buying a HOUSE and I get to live in it starting TOMORROW???? I'm so so pleased.
Because there was a non-issue that had to be proved to be a non-issue. Basically, there was a bathroom leak a year and a half ago, which got repaired at the time, and the tenant decided to tell the appraiser that the bathroom leaked, so the bank wouldn't sign off on FHA approval until there was a plumbing cert on the house, but no one from the lending company bothered to mention this to us, despite repeated inquiries as to whether they needed anything else, until a few days before we were due to close. Bah. But, we have the plumbing cert, now we just have to wait for the underwriter's turn-around time. Hence the later closing.
