maribou | another pointless brain-spinner

I worry at translation issues a lot. Like, right now someone was enthusing on one of my book review communities about how they always love a certain author because of the appositeness of the words she chooses. But, dude, the author writes in French and this person reads in English. But, other dude, I've read this author in English translation and it's amazing how her voice carries through in the English text to the point where you can feel the original French haunting the English, scurrying in through the white spaces....
