Feb. 24th, 2003 02:20 amSo, a recent post by
randomdreams reminded me of my delight in breaking things (how many people DON'T delight in breaking things, at least once in a while?), and then a Tolkien game I was playing reminded me that the delight goes back a long way - and I'm not talking the thoughtless variant that you can see in a baby, but rather the self-aware, slightly self-conscious, savoring sort. I suppose it does for most people, but I don't think about the delight of destruction that often, save for the pyrotechnic sort. ( However, my adoration for the following song from The Hobbit goes back as far as I can remember. )
