Did you ever hear a song, and love it, and have the distinct impression it was telling you a story about yourself, but not really see why you felt that way? And then, years later, have something happen, and a few months maybe passed, and then you were listening to the song again, and you thought, "Huh, *that's* the story it's been telling me all this time?"

Yeah, me neither. There's all kinds of reasons why that would be far too silly. And it certainly wouldn't apply to a set of songs that already belonged together for more pragmatic reasons.

On reflection, I'm not being. It's just that to explain the feeling, stripped of specific content, was easy and maybe other people would go 'hm, yeah, I remember that feeling.' But to explain the feeling with a SONG attached, one would have to pretty much go through and do a line-by-line exegesis of the song to be sure that people actually knew what one meant instead of misunderstanding it. And I expect that would be tedious to read.
