Well, I went and added 15 friends, and then realized that some of them might be rather startled by the act.
A brief explanation of my purpose:
Although I'm sure I'll do plenty of babbling here, the main thrust of this whatever-it-shall-be shall be autobiographical. Specifically, I'll be starting with my earliest memories, and working my way up.
As such, I will occasionally be writing about specific people; I don't want my family members, long-lost childhood friends, or ex-coworkers coming across themselves on public display, by accident.
So I plan to friends-only those posts. Since that's the only real use I have for 'security measures', I figure that anyone whom I am sufficiently acquainted with to know they don't fall into the 3 categories above, and whom I wouldn't expect to be overly bothered by being listed, might as well go into the friends list now.
Plus there's the easy-reading-of-journals-I'd-read-anyway thing.
So if you're an information seeker, and not friended, just talk to me and I will fix it so you can read them.
And if you've had maybe one conversation with me in your entire life, and you're friended, now you know why:).
And if (though I don't *expect* this category) you don't want to be friended, tell me that too.
La la la.
Now that we've gotten that out of the way, expect the next post to have more substance. Unless it doesn't. You know.
