Attended the funeral of a long-time friend?

Attended more than two such funerals?

Taken medicine for:
- high blood pressure?
- arthritis?

Realized that the person you recognize in the grocery store can't possibly be who you think they are, because that person is thirty years older than the person in front of you?

Eaten at a five-star restaurant and sent something back to the kitchen, for good reason?

Been unable to 'perform' sexually, but continued making love anyway, because you like the person you're with?

Oh, it doesn't have to be *your* kids, either. I mean, one can have relationships with children that aren't one's own, shonuff. But realizing, "Holy shit, this kid whom I held on his first day out of the womb is now doing " definitely hits me as a very adult experience.
