Those Who Hunt the Night, by Barbara Hambly
Someone who reviewed this on amazon titled their review "Vampires by Gaslight," and that was apt. Turn of the century London, a scholar who's become disaffected with the British empire, a woman doctor, and a murder mystery involving a bunch of vampires. It's like someone wrote it just for me. Only not. Anyway, I really enjoyed this.

Death and Restoration, by Iain Pears
Art! Religion! Italy! Wit! As you may've surmised by now, I liked this one too. And it was quite intricately put together.

A Well-Timed Enchantment, by Vivian Vande Velde
Cute YA fantasy, not a lot to it but what there was was a lot of fun.

All My Friends Are Superheroes, by Andrew Kaufman
Odd little allegorical book about the nature of twoo wuv. Ended up kind of enamored of it, despite my cynicism going in. I didn't actually buy this book, oddly enough - Waterstone's on Gower Street in London threw it in with the books I had shipped from there last year. If they thought I would like it, they were right.
