The Bartimeus Trilogy is excellent - go read it!

Ptolemy's Gate, by Jonathan Stroud, read by Simon Jones (unabridged audiobook)
This book was everything I had been hoping for as a conclusion to this wonderful trilogy, and Simon Jones did another bang-up job narrating it. Absolutely brilliant; if I had a 'permanent' list for kid's books, this one would definitely be on it. Love love love.
