Spook Fred in Pyongyang

Fluffy book about a guy and his cat. Parts of it were everything I wanted from a cat story but parts of it fell decidedly flat. Not really going to seek out more of this writer's work.

Pyongyang, by Guy Delisle
Graphic memoir about an animator's two month stay in North Korea. Not as in depth as another book I'd read about trips to Pyongyang/environs, given that the other person lived there for years - but I really liked it. The author strikes me as wry and perceptive.

Spook, by Mary Roach
So good! I loved Stiff a great deal, so I was trepidatious about this follow-up - especially since it deals with afterlife research. But it is so good! Hurray! Highly recommended. Just as funny and interesting as her other book.
