Well, I finally got to see him today. I held him for about a half-hour while he slept, and he is impossibly delicate and perfect and all those other things babies always are.
I'm not using this livejournal thing as much as I thought I might - I think it's because it's been too ridiculously hot this summer. 95 degrees is supposed to be that one-really-hot-day, not the average high for the last several months. Ugh.
I want September.
Just you wait and see.

Is that confusing? Probably, I was less-than-coherent when it was written.
point the first: I met my nephew, finally. He's ... amazing.
point the second: I haven't written nearly ANY of the stuff I meant to write, when I got this account - I suspect that may be partially due to...
point the third: It Is Way Too Hot and has been for ages and ages.
I want it to stop being so.
I anticipate a dramatic upsurge in my posting in September, after I get back from Montreal, because it will be ever so much less hot.

Did it come out any more reasonable that time? I'm still mentally subpar.

That's more coherent, yes, but I still blink when I see "I want September." Sorry, I'm just like that.
Congratulations on meeting your nephew. I felt like that when I met my baby cousin, and he stuck his hand down the front of my shirt, and his mom (my cousin) said, "Just like his dad!" I had to correct her and tell her that her husband never stuck his hand down my shirt...
I'm mentally subpar today, too.

Ugh, I wish it got cooler here in September.. I'm looking towards the middle of October.

Well, see, by October we'll have snowstorms. And not that I don't love snowstorms, but I want to enjoy some comfortable weather first. I'm glad to know you enjoy my posts. Don't worry, I have no intentions of quitting.
