A War of the Gifts, by Orson Scott Card
Decidedly meh. If I weren't an Ender completist, I would've thought this sucked, I think. As it is, I liked it but only in a well, I'm retelling the story to myself differently sort of way.

The Other Islam, by Stephen Schwartz
Sometimes this was really nifty and other times it was rambly and ranty and hard to follow. I found the former parts outweighed the latter parts.

Batman and Philosophy, edited by Mark D. White and Robert Arp
Surprisingly excellent. A cut above the usual academic/pop culture fluff I like to read. Serious but not pretentious, neither overly esoteric nor overly condescending.

1. Card has come to annoy me so much I can't bring myself to be a completist. Phoo.

2. Is there anything in the bio about Stephen Schwartz being a teacher at Colorado State University?
