Escape from Spike Aftermath

Still fun, not as good as the first one. The plot was more interesting, and I loved their portrayal of Sylvia Plath, but most of the hell-denizens/situations felt overly current-eventsy in a way the first one didn't.

Spike: After the Fall (reread) and Angel 5: The Aftermath, by Brian Lynch et al.
In my allergy-induced haze, I managed to completely forget I'd read the Spike one already. Which is probably good because on reflection I vaguely think I remember liking it less well the first time. I like where Angel is going and think this'll be more my style than the After the Fall storyline was. They are setting up a formula that is basically 4 mismatched people fightcrimemajor theological forces and their representatives, and who doesn't love that?
