smarter than they look
Jan. 12th, 2008 08:14 amLos cochinos, by Robert Munsch (reread, sort of)
I loved this book when I read it in English as a kid, and I am pleased to report that a) I understood the whole thing in Spanish without recourse to a dictionary and b) it's still adorable. A farmgirl is told by her Dad to go feed the pigs, but not to open the door to the pen even a teensy weensy bit, because they're smarter than she thinks they are. She opens the door, hijinks ensue in predictable and delightful ways.
