confession

So, having just rambled all over doctorpepper's comments, albeit with permission, I have to admit something:
I don't actually consider myself a biologist, Bachelor of Science or no Bachelor of Science. I'm not original or creative enough in that field, by my own lights.
But, whether I'm good at it or not, I am rather satisfied to think of myself as a biology critic.
How embarrassing.
Makes me want to start calling myself a natural philosopher just to escape the connotations; but I suspect the connotations to be richly deserved.
